Extended Hours Service

Out of Hours Police Station Representation in Kent

Arrests do not follow office hours. We provide evening and weekend police station representation at all Kent custody suites. FREE under Legal Aid.

Evening and Weekend Representation Across Kent

Most arrests happen outside normal working hours. Kent Police custody suites at Medway, Gravesend, Canterbury, Tonbridge, Folkestone, and Margate operate 24 hours a day, and detainees need representation at any time of day or night.

We provide out of hours police station representation during evenings and weekends across Kent. As an accredited duty solicitor, Robert Cashman attends custody suites outside normal office hours, ensuring you receive proper legal advice before any police interview takes place.

This service is FREE under Legal Aid. You do not need to pay anything for police station legal advice, regardless of the time of day.

Why Out of Hours Representation Matters

Under PACE 1984, the police can detain you for up to 24 hours (longer for serious offences). The custody clock does not stop at 5pm. If you are arrested on a Friday evening, the police may want to interview you that night or early Saturday morning.

Without a solicitor present, you risk making statements that cannot be retracted. Tiredness, stress, and unfamiliarity with the process mean that out-of-hours interviews require the same — if not greater — level of legal protection.

We understand how Kent Police custody suites operate during evenings and weekends. We know the staffing patterns, the typical investigation timelines, and how to ensure your rights are fully protected outside normal hours.
