Yes. The Legal Aid Agency's August 2025 notice names Tonbridge Custody Unit as one of the units expected to take detainees after Maidstone custody closed. HMICFRS also inspected it in 2021. People arrested nearby are usually held in the custody suite here. Since October 2025 it may also receive people arrested in the Maidstone area.
